If you celebrate Valentine's day you may be looking for a meaningful gift that says maybe a bit more than chocolates and jewellery and wondering what to do about that in Woking.

A donation lets you write a personal love note at British Heart Foundation

The Sweet Gallery has a range of chocolates and sweets with a Valentine theme
The British Heart Foundation shop is letting people put heart shaped love notes in their window for a small donation to their charity. People can write a personal message to touch their loved one's hearts and help save a heart at the same time. Similarly Oxfam have a range of Oxfam unwrapped gifts so buying some chocolates could have a bigger impact by buying the means for workers to educate their families and improve working and living conditions too.
On a more mainstream note shops such as Debenhams have many gifts for him and her on offer or in other shops such as TK Maxx and Waterstones there are beautiful journals available to write love notes and poetry in - or notes to 'put the wash on and pick up kids on time - or else': but still, always that bit nicer with a fairy or something on the cover eh? Waterstones also have a display of classic romance stories and poetry so if you're stuck for the right words to say you can find help there - please make sure you get it from the right shelf - if you go to self -help or diet and fitness you only have yourselves to blame if you start giving diet advice over the Eton Mess at the end of the evening. You'll get short shrift.
Jewellery is also a popular choice and the Town Centre jewellery shops are highlighting the different ranges they have available to make a happy Valentine's day for all.
So whoever you love, and if you want to celebrate love there must be something available for you. Word of advice - don't ever say 'Well I thought I'd wait until the 15th when it would be cheaper'
