Having visited here and bought second-hand furniture on several occasions, The Woking Community Furniture Project are a life-saving scheme for anyone in desperate need of items like beds; sofa's; cooker's; television sets and all other household goods.
Being careful in your selection however is a must because not all of what they sell have a life-long span and can sometimes easily collapse after a short while. I have bought just about everything from here that only a few items are still with me now, so invest wisely and always check for fire-labels on fabrics,
They also deliver your furniture for a reduced cost if in receipt of benefits and not much more if you are on a low income. If you are referred, you are automatically entitled to a big discount especially if you are lodging with a housing association.
They also pick up furniture on your behalf if you have bought it elsewhere such as eBay and is within local or reasonable distance for a small fee. They don't accept returns though so it is always best to make sure you choose the right furniture that will last.
