Why I like Woking

Born in 1966 to Sicilian parents, I have lived Woking all my life. I work as a beauty therapist and my artistic skills are reflected in both my work and in my art. As a mainly self taught artist I grew up with a love of drawing but didn’t take it any further, until I discovered my talent for oil painting with the guidance of Stuart Wilson at his White Rose Art Group in Woking which I joined in 2006. My work can also be viewed on the Surrey Artists website, and I have a permanent display of some of my work at St. Peters Hospital Chertsey. Supporting The Alzheimer's Society Teresa has made it her aim to raise money for the Alzheimer's Society Woking through sales of her prints. “My mother had Alzheimer's for 25 years and she recently passed away. This is my way of raising much needed funds for the tremendous work the Society does.”
