Why I like Woking

Woking Hospice is based in Hill View Road, Woking and provides advice, support and care for people suffering from life limiting illnesses. The Hospice opened in 1996 and with community support has steadily grown and today includes the following facilities and services: MEDICAL CARE provided by our Consultants, Specialist Registrars, Director of Nursing, a team of highly trained nurses, physiotherapists and occupational therapists. 10 BEDDED IN PATIENT UNIT with en-suite facilities. DAY CARE facilities provide care for patients with cancer, motor neurone disease, MS and other late stage progressive illness. COMMUNITY TEAM including Clinical Nurse Specialists who visit patients in their homes. They provide advice and support to people living with a life limiting illness. COUNSELLING TEAM helping patients and their families cope with a diagnosis. CHAPLAINCY TEAM providing spiritual support to patients and their families. Thanks to the generosity and commitment of the community our day care unit has resumed a full service. We are currently building on the support we received during our Emergency Appeal to ensure our specialist teams can continue to deliver a full range of services.
