What is a Flash Mob?
'A flash mob (or flashmob) is a large group of people who assemble suddenly in a public place (usually organised online), perform an unusual action for a brief time then disperse or continue on their way as if nothing happened.' - Wikipedia
So What is the UK Big Freeze??On Saturday 13th March at 12:30pm the largest flashmob the UK has ever seen will take place and YOU can be part of it. The plan is as follows:
Woking
Exact Location
For those of you traveling to Woking for the BigFreeze, you will be pleased to know that your location will offer plenty of places to get a self congratulatory drink and treat afterwards. The Woking chapter will be freezing at Woking town square linking Pea**** centre and Wolesey Place (as shown on the picture). Try and spread yourselves around the square and pathways but please make sure you do NOT obstruct any important paths or doorways. Make sure you keep moving while you wait for the signal, walking up and down the high street. If you're already stood around waiting for it, it won't make much of a difference when you all freeze.
Signal Information
At 12:30pm, two short sharp airhorn blows will mark the beginning of the event. When you hear them, continue as you are but count to 10 in your head. When you reach 10, freeze into your position and hold. After the 5 minutess is up you will hear two more airhorn blows. Again, hold your position and count to 10, then at 10, carry on with whatever you where doing before the freeze.
