Allotments in Woking
By Sarah_Woking | Saturday, August 14, 2010, 16:08
Is it just me or is everyone talking about their allotments or vegetable patches? It’s that time of year when people are reaping the benefits of all the TLC, and have more vegetables than they can eat!
I have far too many courgettes, and lots of tomatoes that are turning a lovely shade of red. Later in the year my parsnips and butternut squash will be ready too... although something has attacked my cabbages which make me a bit sad!
Regardless of whether you are experienced or novice at gardening, an allotment or vegetable patch could offer you more than you think! It could provide you with a new hobby, exercise and fresh home grown produce! By growing your own produce you can save money and become healthier.
There are currently nine allotment sites throughout Woking and cost from as little as £25 a year.
