Have you signed the petition to keep Pasco and his Ice Creams in the Town square? Almost 300 Woking residents have, because they want to keep the friendly face in the town.

Pasco Guarino has worked from his ice cream van in Woking's Gloucester Square for 15 years, and recently it has come to light that the council have plans to move him off his pitch, by telling him he can no longer park his van in the square.
Apparently, the reason for this is that the council are planning upgrade works on the entrance to the Peacocks shopping centre, but the they have not suggested that he could move to another spot on the square.
Personally, I can't see the harm in letting him stay. We have to bear in mind that this is his livelihood we are talking about, not just an ice cream van.
Should he stay? Yes!
For those Woking residents that would rather see him gone, why?

Pasco will stay!!
It seems the petition and huge interest in keeping Pasco Guarino and his ice-cream van in the town square has forced the council to make a temporary u-turn over their decision!
After the hugely successful petition was handed to WBC last month, it was recently considered at a council executive meeting, along with Pasco being given a small amount of time to voice his thoughts and feelings himself.
The case is to be reviewed again at the end of October, which means Pasco can trade throughout the summer holidays in the square.
This is great news for Pasco and all of his fans who signed the petition, well done to you all!
