DOUBLE BILL featuring ZoieLogic Dance Theatre presenting 'Stolen Wishes' and Rosie Heafford- Second Hand Dance and Alexandrina Hemsley and Helena Webb present ‘Dad Dancing’; the evening will be opened by FuzzyLogic
Zoie’s new piece ‘Stolen Wishes’ to be premiered in Woking, involves a structure that rotates like a windmill as well as a roundabout using 4 ladders. Her last structure ‘Murmur’ was showcased last summer a Woking’s Party in the Park. Zoie will be working with a group of young people from Woking, during February half term and include them in her new piece. This is a very exciting opportunity for the young people and we look forward to seeing the results!
Dad Dancing is a contemporary dance work reflecting on growing up into a daughter and growing up into a dad. Created and choreographed by Rosie Heafford, Alexandrina Hemsley and Helena Webb and performed alongside and in collaboration with their dads Adrian, David and Andy. The project uses idiosyncratic, embodied movement, humour and storytelling to explore father-child relationships. We champion the care, the embarrassment and love of those smooth moves born out of fatherhood.
