Went to the exhibition at the Lightbox of the collection donated by Professor Elton including the Picasso and Cocteau pieces, and to the Hassell Watercolours which give a fascinating insight to the area before roads and rail and a picture of Woking Palace as it was. So, it seems this has also made the national press. After all this time, with the excellent Woking Story and to see young children colouring and asking their parents to take them around I wonder if those who moaned (and still are) about the building will ever admit that as something that enriches and informs the culture of the town it has been and continues to be an asset to the town?
