Stormy Weather Greets Return From Festive Break.

High Winds and stormy weather greeted people returning to work after the festive period on Tuesday 3 Jan.

Nationally the Met Office had issued severe weather warnings and Woking, whilst not suffering the worst of the weather did come in for some damage from flooding and trees falling onto roads. Teams were clearing roads through the morning and by Tuesday afternoon the wind had calmed somewhat. Several houses lost power in the area thought to be caused by faulty underground cables.
