Fallen Trees being cleared in Hook Heath
Nationally the Met Office had issued severe weather warnings and Woking, whilst not suffering the worst of the weather did come in for some damage from flooding and trees falling onto roads. Teams were clearing roads through the morning and by Tuesday afternoon the wind had calmed somewhat. Several houses lost power in the area thought to be caused by faulty underground cables. Forecasts for the rest of the week according to the Met Office are for a sunnier outlook and no sever weather warnings are in place. For further information visit
