This occurred less than a month from when a school girl was hit by a car in Albert Drive leading to more concern from residents about speed control measures being needed. The community is showing support for the family of the girl concerned with a collection in the Londis shop on Dartmouth Avenue.
On Thursday 13 October police attended Albert Drive with speed camera equipment and dealt with motorists who were found to be over the 30mph limit. Historically Albert Drive, has raised concern amongst residents regarding speed of cars with several attempts made with traffic calming measures to try and improve the situation, over recent years however, residents report that this issue needs to be revisited to stop further accidents.
