Remembrance Sunday service at Woking War Memorial

RESIDENTS and visitors to Woking are welcome to attend a Service of Remembrance, which will be held on Sunday, November 11 at the War Memorial in Woking Town Square at 10.35am, concluding with a two minute silence and laying of wreaths.

A remembrance service will take place at Woking War Memorial from 10.35am on Sunday, November 11.
A parade will take place before the service, and those wishing to take part should gather at H. G. Wells Conference and Events Centre in Church Street East by no later than 10am. The parade will conclude at the War Memorial, where the Remembrance Service will take place.
Following the conclusion of the service at the War Memorial, the uniformed units and organisations attending will march past the Mayor of Woking and Members of the Civic Procession in Church Street East.
Everyone is invited to attend, whether as members of service, pre-service or ex-service units, other civilian organisations or individually. A limited number of seats will be available on request for persons wishing to sit during the service.
Any other person or organisation wishing to lay wreaths should make themselves known to the Parade Marshal before the service starts at approximately 10.10am, in order that they can join the Wreath Laying Group in the Town Square.
