Maybury graffiti vandal ordered to do unpaid work

A YOUNG woman has been given a 12 month supervisory order and ordered to do 100 hours unpaid work for causing more than £3,000 worth of criminal damage to a number of properties in the Maybury area.

Shops at Lion Retail Park in Maybury were targeted by Woodward's vulgar and offensive graffiti.
Laura Woodward, 19, of Byron Road, Addlestone admitted five offences of causing racially aggravated criminal damage and two offences of causing criminal damage in a spate of offending on 12 November last year.
As previously reported by Woking People, racially abusive words were spray painted inside a shop on the Lion Retail Park, on a wall in view of the Shah Jehan Mosque in Oriental Road and outside properties in Walton Road.
She was also ordered to pay a total of £500 in compensation at a hearing on Thursday (28 February) at South West Surrey Magistrates Court in Guildford.
