Prepare yourself for a fantastic trip down memory lane as Musical Director Ray McVay leads the official Glenn Miller Orchestra along with the Moonlight Serenaders, the wonderful vocal group, Jan Messeder and Colin Anthony on vocals and the Uptown Hall Gang who will be brought together for one night only on Mon 13 February at the New Victoria Theatre, Woking.

 

Relive the spirit of the forties in an evening celebrating Glenn Miller music, with tributes to Ted Heath and his Orchestra and Dame Vera Lynn alongside all your Miller favourites.

The Glenn Miller Orchestra UK was formed in 1988 and has maintained the exact line-up on stage devised by Glenn which consists of the leader, five saxophones, four trumpets, four trombones and three rhythms as well as a male and female vocalist. The bands library contains over 200 scores, many from the original library, including great arrangements from both civilian and Army / Air Force orchestras including the distinctive signature tune which has become the theme of the Glenn Miller Orchestra the beautiful Moonlight Serenade, originally written by Miller as an exercise for a music arranging course.
