Horsell Bowling Club donate infant resuscitator to Royal Surrey County Hospital

HORSELL Bowling club has made a life saving donation to the Royal Surrey County Hospital.

Club member Peter Chowney and other members raised funds to buy a Neopuff Infant Resuscitator.

Mr Chowney nominated the hospital's Special Care Baby Unit (SCBU) for the team's annual fundraising efforts after his grandson was cared for there in 2006.

Fiona England, sister on SCBU, said: "The Neopuff is used in emergency situations when a neonate may struggle to breathe effectively.

"On behalf of SCBU we are very grateful to Peter and the members of the bowling club for their generous donation; it will make a real difference to the babies we look after and their families."
