Elderly man found dead at scene of Horsell house fire

AN ELDERLY man was found dead in his home in Horsell after a fire started.

Police and firefighters were called to Church Close, Horsell where an elderly man was pronounced dead.
At 9am on Saturday (November 17), a fire crew from Woking was alerted to a kitchen fire in the Church Close home of a man aged in his 90s.
The fire had burnt itself out by the time firefighters arrived and the man was found dead at the scene.
Police said the death was not being treated as suspicious.
A Police spokeswoman said: "Surrey Police were called to a property in Church Close, Horsell at just before 9am on Saturday morning (November 17) following reports of a fire.
"Officers attended the address where a man in his 90s was pronounced dead at the scene.
"At this stage the incident is not being treated as suspicious."
