Council tax hike agreed for Woking

RESIDENTS in Woking will be paying more council tax from April after the local authority decided to increase bills.

Council tax bills rise in Woking from April.
Woking Borough Council yesterday (February 22) decided to increase its share of the council tax charge by 1.9 per cent for 2013-2014.
The rise comes on top of a 1.99 per cent council tax increase set by Surrey County Council decided earlier this month. It means the average household will be paying about £23 extra a year.
